What is told in the ear of a man is often heard 100 miles away.

Having said that we’re hoping that what ever is posted on this new web blog will be read even farther away than that. Welcome to the inaugural post of Echoes From This Our Land. We’re hoping that this will be the place you’ll come when you’re in need of the news and views within and alongside those of us that live in the Special Areas. We’ve just begun here so any and all thoughts are welcome. This first started out as a site for the history book and after considering that the history book is really about the community we live in we decided to expand and encompass as much of the community as we could. Who’s us you ask?

  • Well first off we have the history book president, Louise Beasley and if you want to know what’s going on with thethat just click on her page “History Book”. You can e-mail her here at lbeasley@eidnet.org
  • On the second page we have our Ag-Society updates and in charge of that is none other than the great Terry Fry. She can be reached at mrsfry@xplornet.com if you have anything she needs to know.
  • On the third page we have the a place where all the different 4H clubs in the area can keep us in the loop.
  • And on this, the home page; We have Shannon Vanderloh (who can be reached at bsvanderloh@hotmail.com , Jane Christianson at wjch@lincsat.com and myself, Linda Pierson at pieran80@gmail.com. We’d like this to be a place where you can read about the dates and times of wedding and baby showers, local dances, sporting events, school news and events, W.I. meetings and everything in between.

On the sidebar you can click on the links of local businesses and websites and if you have a website and it’s not on there yet send us and e-mail or leave a comment below with your web URL and we’ll get it in there. If you have suggestions or you’d like to join our team, let us know the same way. All you have to do is click on the title of this post (or any of the future ones) and leave your name, e-mail address and web URL if you’ve got one, along with a comment and someone will get back to you. Please let everyone that might be interested in this site know where to find it by copying the link into an e-mail and sending to them. Have a good one!

Oh!  We need local pictures to dress things up a bit. Yours might be the next on our header but you have to send them to us. Small files are best.
